Social Networking sites such as FacebookTwitter and many others are very popular among people. People use them to update their status and upload pictures to share information with family and friends. They also keep on checking and commenting on he posts of their friends. Many people get addicted to these sites. They keep on using these sites even when they are at work. This is the major reason that people are getting fired from their job.

To avoid getting fired from your job because of social media you can do many things. First of all, Always remember that whatever you are posting on Facebook or Twitter is not private. Everyone can see it, so do not post anything on your account during working hours. Moreover do not like or comment on someone's post during working hours. Facebook and Twitter also shows the time of the information when you share with your friends. Therefore always keep in mind that your employer can also check later the timing of your post your share online on social network sites, they can check if you post during working hours or at some other time.

Furthermore, don't be a racist on Facebook. Being racist can also disturbs the atmosphere of your work place and can harm to your job also. Do not post anything negative on Facebook or Twitter about your job or boss. Posts such as "I hate my job" or "My boss is so weird" can get you fired from your job. Internet makes our work easy. Nowadays, we can do our work in lesser time with the help of internet. There are some companies who face loss due to this invention. Because employees misuse the internet and spent more time on doing non work related activities. To avoid being misuse of internet, blocking some websites is good solution to this problem.

Employees use internet for downloading movies, playing games, sending jokes and chatting with their friends. Some people waste time on internet because they do not have enough work to do, so employers also need to manage their workload. Employees use websites for downloading which contain viruses and virus can erase the data stored in computer and can destroy whole computer. Therefore, it is very necessary for employers to block those websites and keep their computers and data safe.

Employees are tending to do their personal work when they are at work. They may think that no one watching them when they are doing their personal work such as chatting, watching videos, sending personal emails and doing may other things, but actually they are wrong, their internet usage is regularly monitored by their employers.

You need to be very careful and visit only work related websites at workplace. Because almost all companies have software with which they can check the internet history, they can also check what type of websites you visited.

Statistics of using Internet at work for personal use

The number of people of using internet for personal use at work place is increasing at fast pace. Although employees have internet access at their home but they prefer to use more at work due to high speed connections and unlimited data. This is the reason that dismissals due to misuse of internet is increasing day by day.

 According to recent surveys it is cleared that 40 percent loss in productivity of American Business is only due to internet misuse.

70 % of all internet porn traffic occurs during work days between 9 am to 5 pm. In U.S, 37% of employees say that they surf the web continuously and surfing only non-work related sites. 32.6 % employees surf the without any specific objective and men are twice as likely as women. 27 % of employees have also been caught surfing web for personal use and get fired from their job.

The result of these surveys is warning for employees who misuse internet for personal use and causing harm to the profits of their company. They should keep in mind internet misuse in workplace can cause harm to their job also.
